A few years ago a good friend passed along an old camera and some lenses to me. The kit belonged to his father, who recently passed away. IT was an old Minolta Maxxum 7000 and some a-mount lenses, all of which I was pretty familiar with.
I recently took a weekend trip to New York City and while packing my camera gear I made the crazy decision to simply pack the Minolta film camera, one lens, and one roll of film.
I loved it. It was fun to not see your images. It was fun to be happy with imperfect shots. Fun to only have 36 shots on a roll, over two days.
Yeah. Loved it so much I have now built a darkroom in the basement and have started processing my own prints.
